History

Our mother company Cave y Cía Ltda. was founded in Valparaíso, Chile on first October, 1970 by Mr. Gordon F. Cave, a Scotsman from Dundee, as a one-man office. Mr Cave drew on his experience up to that point as the General Manager of one of the larger shipping agencies in Chile to set up this new office as general independent commercial correspondents for a number of P&I Clubs.

The company has grown steadily for over 35 years under the leadership of the Cave family. Throughout those years, the company has had an in-house team of professional translators to translate technical reports, medical certificates, legal paperwork etc to send to its principals around the world.

In 2004, this highly experienced in-house translations department was developed into a new, separate company. Since that date, we have grown quickly and we now offer a complete range of language services to an ever-increasing client base, which includes government departments, universities and businesses in the maritime, legal, mining, tourism and wine industries.
